Week 16 Highlights
88 players joined the Jett Family Survivor Pool this year breaking the record of 79 players in 2019.
Congratulations to Jack T. Jett, the 2024 JettNet.ORG Survivor Pool Champion!
Since we keep Lifetime Statistics, Jack can pad his stats and continue to make a pick each week for as long as he survives.
Jack set a new record for earliest to clinch the Championship in Week 12 of the 2024 Season. The old record was set last year by Tom Melochick in Week 15 of the 2023 Season.
Jack continues to survive and add points to his Lifetime Statistics. With a win this week, Jack will achieve two milestones.
- Over the first 7 years of this pool (2017-2023), Jack scored a total of 15 points. If jack wins this week, he will pick up his 15th point of the season and double his Lifetime Points (that's 30 pts for Elder alumni) in a single year!
- The lowest score for a Jett Survivor Pool Champion is 14 points, set last year by Tom Melochick. If Jack wins this week, he will not share the record for lowest score by a champion.
Jack picked Arizona (-4.5) over Carolina this week. The Cardinals are road favorites this week and sit behind the Seahawks and Rams for the top spot in the NFC West. This is a must win for the Cardinals and the Panthers season is finished.
The Week 16 survivor pick options include three big favorites; the Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, and Atlanta Falcons. Jack already used Buffalo and Atlanta, so he may be saving Green Bay for Week 18 when the Packers face the Bears.

88
players started the 2024 Survivor Pool and with Week 15
complete, 1
player survives. 0
players remain undefeated.
Ryan Grote finished the 2017 Inaugural Pool with a perfect record of 17 wins. Lynn Jett broke his record with 18 wins in 2021, the first year the NFL moved to an 18 week season.
Jack T. Jett set the pool record for earliest to clinch the Championship in Week 12 of the 2024 Season.
End of Season Survivor Rates:
- The pool record end of season survivor rate was set in the 2017 Inaugural Pool. At the end of the 2017 season the survivor rate was 7.3%. Four players survived through the end of the season.
- At the end of the 2020 season 3.8% of the players survived.
- The survivor rate at the end of the 2018 pool was 3.5%, 1.5% at the end of 2021, and 1.4% at the end of 2022.
- There were no survivors at the end of the 2019 and 2023 pools.

The NFL added an 18th week to its season in 2021.
- The concept of an NFL Survivor Pool is an easy one; simply survive from one week to the next by having the team you select in a given week win its game.
- The object of the Survivor Pool is to accrue the most correct picks without being eliminated before the conclusion of the NFL's 18 week regular season.
- For each week of the NFL's 18 week schedule, participants pick one team who they think will win.
- Participants may only pick each team to win one time throughout the course of the 18 week regular season schedule (there are 32 teams to choose from over the 18 week schedule).
- The pick you submit for each weekly game will accumulate 1 point for each correct pick.
- The player with the most points at the end of the regular season wins.
- This is a 2 loss elimination pool. Participants are eliminated from playing after making 2 incorrect picks.
- Missing, late, or duplicate entries (i.e. a player picks a previously selected team to win) will count as an incorrect pick for that player.
- New players are not accepted after the start of the first NFL 2024 Regular Season Game that begins at 8:20 pm Eastern Time on September 5, 2024.
- Submit your pick each week after the bracket is available and prior to that week's deadline.
- Locate your Name in the drop-down menu. If your name is not in the drop-down menu, please click on the NEW button and enter your name (Last, First) and your valid email address. New players will be accepted up until the start of the NFL's first regular season game at 8:20 pm Eastern on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
- Enter your email address. Players submitting invalid email addresses will be disqualified.
- Pick the NFL team you think will win each week. You may only pick a team one time throughout the course of the 18 week regular season, so choose carefully.
- The Pool's Submit Pick Form does not check for duplicate team picks, so while your submission of a duplicate team pick may appear to be valid, it will not be accepted when received by the Tournament Director.
Please review your previous picks on the Player Summary Report to make sure you are not submitting a duplicate pick. If a duplicate team pick is not corrected by that week's deadline, it will count as a loss.
- Click on the Submit Pick button at the bottom of the form.
- NEW: Confirmation Emails are no longer sent after your pick is submitted because most email providers block the Confirmation Email. Picks are periodically updated on the Player Summary Report, so check that report to see if your pick was received.
- In addition, a Reminder Email is sent one-day in advance of the deadline from pkjett1@gmail.com to surviving players who have not submitted a pick.
- Players may change their pick prior to the deadline. To change your pick simply resubmit your pick by following the steps above. The last pick submitted before the deadline will be used when multiple entries are received from the same Player Name.
- The deadline for selecting, submitting, or modifying your pick for each week's game is prior to kickoff of the first applicable game of the given week (refer to the Deadline Table below). You may revise your pick for each week's game after the bracket for that week has been posted up until that week's deadline.
- Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted.
- Brackets for the new week will generally be available each week on Tuesday morning following the NFL's Monday Night Football Game. Survivors will receive an email reminder after the new bracket is posted each week.

- Each Player chooses ONE NFL Team to win its game each week.
- Picks are made "straight up." This pool is not using a point spread system, so pick the team you think will win the game.
- After a player picks a team to win, the player may not pick that same team to win for the remainder of the season.
- If the player's pick is correct, the player is awarded 1 point and survives until the next week. Tied games count as a win for both teams.
- Two incorrect picks eliminate the player from the pool for the remainder of the season. Players eliminated from the Survivor Pool will not be able to submit picks.
- Missing, late, or duplicate entries (i.e. a player picks the same team to win in multiple weeks) will count as an incorrect pick and a loss for that player.
- View the Player Summary Report to keep track of your weekly picks. Remember, you may only pick each team to win one time throughout the course of the season (there are 32 teams to choose from over the 18 week schedule). Be sure to view this report each week before you make your pick.
CLICK HERE to access the Player Summary Report.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE. The Pool's SUBMIT PICK Form does not check for duplicate entries. A player may only pick a team one time throughout the course of the season. Please review your previous picks on the Player Summary Report to make sure you are not submitting a duplicate team. An email will be sent to survivors picking a previously used team, but it is the responsibility of each player to monitor their selections. If a duplicate team pick is not corrected by that week's deadline, it will count as a loss.
- At the end of the Regular Season (18th Week) in the event of a tie on correct picks, the player closest to accurately picking the combined score of both teams in the last game of the NFL's Regular Season played on Sunday Night Football wins the tiebreaker.
- The NFL will pick the Week 18 Sunday Night Football matchup after Week 17 is complete.
- If a second tiebreaker is required, the player losing their first game latest in the season wins.
- If neither tiebreaker resolves a tie, then we will have a tie.
- Tiebreaker scores will be requested from the surviving players for Week 18 of the NFL's Season.
- If there are no survivors by Week 18, tiebreaker scores will be requested from players who are tied in first place.
Several family members and friends tell me they are not receiving my email invitations for JettNet.ORG tournaments. Email invitations are sent to everyone who played the previous year. If you changed your email within the past year, send me your new email address. Each year more of the invitations are being identified as Spam by some email providers. There is nothing I can do on my end to fix this issue, but it might help if you add my email address, pkjett1@gmail.com, to your email provider's "Friend List."
Please remember that all Jett family, relatives, friends, co-workers and their friends and family are invited to play, even if you do not receive an email invitation.
