NFL PLAYOFF BRACKET |
The National Football League (NFL) playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the end of the regular season to determine the NFL champion. Six teams from each of the league's two conferences qualify for the playoffs based on regular season records, and a tie-breaking procedure exists in the case of equal records. The tournament ends with the Super Bowl, the league's championship game, which matches the two conference champions.
The NFL resets the Playoff Bracket after the completion of the Wild Card Round (First Round) and the Division Round (Second Round), so Players will need to make picks for the first two weeks of the NFL Playoffs.
Re-seeding: Home field is determined by seeding number, not position on the bracket. The NFL does not use a fixed bracket system. The outcome of the games between the sixth and third seeds in each conference determine where the Wild Card winners will play in the next round. When a third seed wins, they next travel to the second seed. When the sixth seed wins, they travel to the first seed. The winner between the fifth and fourth seeds will play the remaining second round host team in that conference.
Conference Championship home field goes to the higher seed remaining.
SCORING |
Points are awarded as follows for picking the winning team:
Wild Card Round = 1 point
Divisional Round = 2 points
Conference Championship = 4 points
Super Bowl = 8 points
For this tournament, bonus points are NOT awarded for picking an underdog.
In the event of a tie at the end of the tournament, the player closest to picking the combined final score of both teams in the Super Bowl wins. If needed, Pick Percentage and Most Teams in the Conference will be used as the second and third tie breakers.
